Dallas ISD currently provides dyslexia services and literacy intervention across the district, including targeted support for decoding, fluency, spelling, and reading development.
But some students still need a more individualized approach.
When a child has already received help and the same patterns remain, I do not assume they simply need more practice.
I look for the exact point where reading is breaking down.
Blossoming Skills uses a Speech-to-Print approach that starts with spoken language and teaches students how the sounds they already know connect directly to print.
Reading and spelling are taught together so students can build stronger, more flexible word-reading skills instead of relying on guessing or memorized rules.
Reading Therapy for Dallas Students
Blossoming Skills works with families throughout Dallas and Dallas ISD, including students in neighborhood schools, magnet programs, Montessori programs, private schools, charter schools, and homeschool programs.
Dallas ISD is unusually diverse in the kinds of academic settings it offers. Families may be connected with schools such as George Bannerman Dealey Montessori Academy, William B. Travis Talented and Gifted Vanguard and Academy, Alex W. Spence Talented and Gifted Academy, Sudie L. Williams Talented and Gifted Academy, the School for the Talented and Gifted at Townview, or one of the district’s many neighborhood campuses. Dallas ISD also operates more than 30 magnet schools and multiple gifted, Montessori, STEM, and specialized academic programs.
That matters because a child can be surrounded by strong academics and still struggle to access the curriculum independently when reading is not automatic.
As the reading demands increase, the gap becomes harder to hide.
Directions get longer.
Science and social studies require more independent reading.
Advanced coursework assumes students can move through text efficiently.
And a child who understands the material may still look like they are struggling academically because too much of their energy is being spent decoding the page.

Every student begins with a comprehensive reading assessment so I can identify exactly where reading is breaking down and build instruction around your child’s actual reading profile.
At the end of the 12-week program, your child is reassessed so the growth is measured clearly.
I guarantee at least one full grade level of reading growth. If that growth is not there, I continue working with your child at no additional cost until the goal is reached.
After everything your child has already been through, the next step should be individualized, measurable, and built around what they actually need.
