Reading Struggles Should Not Limit What Your Child Can Achieve.
The 12-Week Reading Therapy Program identifies what is keeping your child stuck and builds the missing reading skills through individualized Speech-to-Print instruction.
When reading begins to make sense, far more than words change.
A child gains access to vocabulary they could not reach before.
Stories they could not enter.
Ideas they could not explore independently.
Science, history, imagination, humor, knowledge—entire worlds that once sat behind a wall of print begin opening to them.
Reading does not simply give a child access to books.
It gives them access to more of the world.
Because hope should be backed by more than promises, our 12-Week Reading Therapy Program comes with a measurable guarantee:
At least one full grade level of reading growth in 12 weeks—or we continue working with your child at no additional cost.

It Starts With Understanding Your Child.
Before I recommend the program, we begin with a Clarity Call.
I want to understand the whole picture—not simply where your child scores on a reading test.
We talk about:
what reading looks like right now
how far behind your child may be
whether they are actually decoding or relying heavily on memorized words
phonological and phonemic awareness
blending, segmenting, and manipulating sounds
spelling
fluency
what happens when they encounter an unfamiliar word
what intervention or tutoring they have already received
IEPs, 504 plans, school evaluations, or private testing
and how the struggle is affecting their confidence, independence, and willingness to read
Because two children can have the exact same reading score and have completely different reasons for being there.
The score tells us where they are.
The pattern underneath it tells us what they need.
At the end of the call, I will tell you whether your child appears to be a strong fit for the 12-Week Reading Therapy Program and what I recommend as the next step.

What DFW & North Texas Moms Are Saying

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
After years of tears and frustration, the Progress Promise gave us hope. My son made more progress in 12 weeks than in 2 years of school interventions. Worth every penny.”
What If We’ve Been Teaching Reading Backwards?
For many struggling readers, learning to read becomes far more complicated than it needs to be.
Remember the rule.
Remember the exception.
Remember the syllable type.
Memorize the sight word.
Break the word apart.
Try another strategy.
Then somehow hold all of that in memory long enough to figure out the word, read the sentence, understand what it means, find the main idea, and keep going.
That is a tremendous cognitive load for any child.
For a struggling reader, it can become the reason reading feels exhausting.
They spend so much mental energy trying to figure out how to read the words that there is very little left for understanding, imagining, connecting ideas, or enjoying what they are reading.
Speech-to-Print takes a more direct path.
We begin with the spoken language your child already knows and explicitly teach them to hear the sounds inside words, connect those sounds to print, and use those connections to decode unfamiliar words.
As those connections are practiced and strengthened, the brain builds more efficient pathways for recognizing and processing written words.
Reading begins to require less effort.
Words become more automatic.
And when a child no longer has to use all of their mental energy simply getting through the words, they finally have room for the part of reading that matters most:
understanding what they read.
Meaningful reading growth should not require years of waiting.
When we teach the missing skills directly and systematically, families can begin seeing real progress in weeks and months—not after years of waiting.
Reading should not consume every ounce of a child's mental energy.
It should become the pathway to everything waiting beyond the words.

I Know What It Feels Like to Watch a Child Struggle.
I’m Catherine Mitchell, a Certified Special Education Teacher and Dyslexia Specialist based in Fort Worth, Texas.
I’m also a mom of three children with different learning struggles and learning differences, so this work is personal to me.
I know the heartbreak of watching a child work harder than everyone around them and still feel like they are falling behind.
I know what it is like to sit across from teachers, specialists, and schools searching for answers.
And I know how quickly a reading struggle can begin affecting far more than academics. It can change a child’s confidence, their willingness to try, and the way they see themselves.
That is a big part of why I have spent my career in special education and reading intervention.
I have always believed that children deserve the chance to reach their full potential, and becoming a strong, independent reader is one of the most powerful ways we can give them that chance.
Reading gives a child access to knowledge, vocabulary, imagination, independence, and opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.
That is why this work matters so deeply to me.
I do not want children spending years learning how to cope with reading difficulty.
I want them to experience what becomes possible when reading finally opens the world to them.

Who Is the 12-Week Program Designed For?
This program may be a strong fit if your child:
is not yet reading independently
is reading one or more grade levels behind
guesses at unfamiliar words
relies heavily on memorized words
has weak phonological or phonemic awareness
struggles to blend, segment, or manipulate sounds
reads slowly or laboriously
struggles with spelling
knows phonics rules but cannot use them automatically in real reading
has received intervention or tutoring without meaningful progress
is becoming frustrated, avoidant, or less confident because of reading
Some children look like they can read because they have memorized many familiar words.
The real question is whether they have the underlying skills to keep growing when the words become harder.
That is what we look for.
Questions Moms Ask Before Booking
-
A: If your child completes their scheduled 1:1 sessions and simple weekly home practice but does not gain at least one full grade level of reading progress in 12 weeks, we continue their therapy at zero extra cost until they do.
-
A:Traditional OG relies on rote memorization of over 90 abstract rules and syllable types, which creates severe cognitive overload. Our speech-to-print approach works directly with how the brain naturally processes language, mapping sounds your child already knows straight to the printed letters. Find out why Orton-Gillingham doesn’t help all students.
-
A:Yes. I’d use:
Yes. Virtual 1-on-1 reading therapy can be highly effective when sessions are live, individualized, and interactive. Students work directly with a reading specialist in real time using targeted activities, visual tools, and guided practice based on their specific reading needs. Because instruction is 1-on-1, the specialist can immediately see where the student is getting stuck, adjust the lesson, and provide focused support that is difficult to replicate in a larger group setting.
For students who are multiple grade levels behind, the goal is not simply to complete more reading practice. It is to identify the specific skills that have not become automatic and teach from that point forward.
-
A: We specialize in students from 3rd grade through 99, as well as adults who have struggled with reading decoding and fluency for years.
-
How much does the program cost? Our primary service is specialized 1-on-1 virtual therapy designed for rapid, measurable progress. Exact investment details and customized plans are discussed during your free Clarity Call based on your child's specific reading history.
