Local Resources I Recommend
I often have parents ask me about different options in the DFW area for schooling or extra activities. There are a lot of programs out there, but these are two local resources that I personally know and feel completely comfortable recommending to families.
Mid-Cities Montessori
I work closely with Mid-Cities Montessori and have found it to be a very strong program, especially for kids who struggle in traditional classroom environments. They do a lot of hands-on, student-led learning, and the instruction is highly individualized. Plus, their small classroom sizes make a massive difference for kids who need a little more space and attention to thrive.
You can learn more about their school on the Mid-Cities Montessori Website.
Abrakadoodle — Mrs. Mary
If you're looking for extra activities, Mrs. Mary is someone I genuinely enjoy referring families to. What stands out to me about her art classes is that the projects don't all come out looking exactly alike. The kids are learning actual art skills, but they're also encouraged to be creative and make the work their own. She is incredibly patient with children, and every parent I've sent her way has had great things to say.
You can check out her class schedules on the Abrakadoodle North Fort Worth website.
